Confusion between models is the very reason that I wish this forum was more strategically divided.
Sorry Dusty, I don't have a Mark 5/V. The spacing on my Mark VII is 9 1/8" as well as I can measure it.

I am building a new top for a 10er and plan to use a single piece of butcher block (I believe maple or hevea) Could I get some recommendations as to the finish I should apply? Thanks in advance.
