You can probably still get them from Shopsmith.

Single Bearing Quill's bearing is p/n 502962.

Drive Sleeve bearings are p/n 501297.

However these are basic bearings and won't have ultra-fine tolerances or major brand names to them.

Got my "restored steel version" speed control knob back yesterday. I sent a note to have mine rebuilt so it would be the original one and the red paint I thought would match, rather than his exchange program. It looks awesome, and guess what? He paints them as well. :) :(
But he did a good job.

Also recieved my drive sleeve bearings as well.
Just need my quill bearing, belts and wedges from SS and then it's assembley time.

He just did 9 steel gear replacements for 9 damaged gears that I had. Yes the clean up, paint job and steel grear was excellast. I may have him do more speed control handles even if they have fair aluminum gears due to the excellant paint job. The steel gear replacement should last forever.

Based on the stellar reviews you folks have been giving Mr Home, I just sent my handle off today. Luckily we're not that far apart.
I like the idea of the steel spline. I hope it doesn't chew up it's mate!

My personal thoughts based on one purchase: That guy's idler bearings, Poly V belts are excellent. For the motor belt, it was a 'crowned' belt a little different than Shopsmith's flat-top motor belt. For me it was just a little quirky-acting at full-Fast speed. That's just one datapoint and not necessarily a representative answer. I buy SS parts as long as they're available.

The search for Verde Green.........
Local Lowes does not carry it and they say they can't order it. I was going to just call all over town today looking, Home Depot's I guess and if one Lowes doen't have it maybe another will? :(
They did have silver. :)
I was looking for a can of grey to touch up my other machines, they had nothing close. What source would be the best here? SS? (ER and a 1988)

Ordering belts and wedges today. Its amazing how long it takes to do a simple project sometimes. Life just takes over.
