spray paint match for repainting a "greenie"

Wow, Thanks for the wealth of information with the colors!

I use the hammered gray on my 10s when redoing them. I've been actively searching for a greenie. If I land one at the right price, You've helped with eliminating the color matching........

The soda blaster is near the top of my list now.

Lol! Not mine, somehow I don't think black and orange would work for me. I really like the combinations others here have used and would stick with those.

I just blew my budget for other items so the blaster will have wait BUT I am going to get one. I just may strip down my Shorty and redo it (in school colors, maybe).

Dusty, being manufactured in Ohio, modern Shopsmiths leave the factory painted in the proper school colors!

Through ignorance on my part, I broke the Way Tubes Tie Bar in trying to install it, so I bought another, it arrived yesterday, what a shock! It is from another Greenie of unknown origin and its color of Dark Green Hammered IS MUCH darker than my 1957 YUBA built Greenie, I am now of the opinion that depending on the year and where manufactured, the colors varied greatly, darker here and then, lighter here and later. No real constancy.
See for your self, again my mix was confirmed by comparing the Caster support, where is was covered from day one, under the leg where it mated, so there was no fading.
My color match is the lighter one.

I epoxied the tie bar back together to hold it while finishing assembly.

I have had very little exposure to any Greenie (except in pictures) but that does not look like any Shopsmith green that I have seen. But then there is yours. On my computer, your tie bar appears to be more of a gray than a green.

Same thing on mine Dusty, grayer.

Top darker than any of my greenie stuff.

Bottom appears 'mint green' - i.e. a light silverish green.

My greenie stuff tends to be more 'yellowish' to a very small degree.

When I soda blasted this new tie bar, there was only one layer of paint and it hadn't been sand blasted, because it looks like a new casting after this soda blast.
