I think the trunion mounts can affect the flatness as does the split clamp. After all that is why the clamp is there.
Cast iron can deform, although slightly compared to less rigid stuff.
I am not sure all this unflatness is not the result of looking rather than just assuming it is flat.

Any derivation in that direction isn't an issue in resawing, especially when it is as small as I'm seeing. The thing with resawing is the fence being perpendicular to the table and parallel to the blade. The control surface is the fence not the table for this operation. Anyway the question was ask if anyone had a flat bandsaw table and I will answer the yes I do. Is it perfect? No but plenty close enough.

Have you got the right number of zero's after the decimal point, Ed?
You guys finally made me break down and measure mine. It is missing the little strap that spans the blade slit, and it has a slight crown to it. But it's still flat to within 0.004". Half that actually, if I split the difference over the crown. Must be living right.

I had to go back out and look. I know it is the finest one in the set and after looking at it in better light it says .0015". Sorry I will have to correct my post. Thanks for getting me to check on this.
So the same holes true that it will not fit so it is smaller then .0015 and I have nothing smaller to try so if we split the difference then perhaps the space is .0008" or so.
When you think of a piece of notebook paper being .003" you can see that this is not much of issue at any rate.
