Glad to hear you are painting. I'm a traditionalist...and a greenie owner. I HAD to do it Mickeys way in his posts early on.

The executive decision was green case and side cover, silver pan.
I also feel the color patterm of MickyD's is the most appealing.

my version of the Greenie as it comes together. Going to make a tube polisher today out of some 10ER parts and two 10 foot 1 3/4" conduits.
I've got piles of tubes to sand and polish. I'll take a pic or two when I get it assembled.
The assembled complete pic is what it looked like when it I got it.

Upon reassembley, and specifically preparing surfaces ect. I'm guessing to wax the holes in the headstock for the tubes. What is best on all the other "hole" surfaces? I have a spray lithium Mr. Wrench greese?

The green, like any other color, is a matter of choice. What is really outstanding, by my way of thinking, is the paint job. It looks like it was done by a paint professional. Exceptional.

We talking interior hole surfaces here!
I have tried graphite dusting(rubbed in) but that is a bit messy.
I have been applying JPW over rubbed graphite lately.
The graphite provided more slick, while the JPW keeps it from migrating(sorta).
Buff lightly after onite 'drying'
Keep highly buffed JPW on all tubes.
