I received the files for the Shopsmith Dealer Manual mentioned above and have begun the restoration process.

I took one of the rough pages to illustrate what is sometimes possible. There are over 300 pages so I will take time to restore all of them. Most are in good shape, and some documents I had not seen before.

Outstanding. I certainly sent the files to the right person.
I'm sure the files will be archival quality when you are done.
You even got rid of the punch hole!

I just received this today from eBay. It is an original magazine add for the new MK 5 but not dated. Since it says "Announcing" it must be late 53 or early 54. I don't know what magazine but it appears to be an original. I have included a picture of the back of the page. It is in almost original condition.

Everett, If you want a scan I will have to take it to FedEx since it is too large for my scanner. Just tell me what resolution and file format you want and I will do it.

I would prefer 300 DPI in PNG first choice, JPG if not.
Thank you so much John for preserving this.

John, do you remember the MagPie Employee Newsletters I obtained and published on My Google Drive?

See attached snapshot of the April 1954 MagPie which contains the original reveal photo to the public in New York March 20, 1954. That would have been about the timeline near the advertising campaign.

They also list several publications in which 'release' advertising appeared. That may help. The size of the document may narrow it down. Life Magazine, Saturday Evening Post (among others) had the large format print size.

OK, I will go out tomorrow and get it scanned. Do you want both sides of the page or just the SS side?

Yes I do remember it.

Life Magazine and Saturday Evening Post came to mind when the page arrived and I saw the size. I wonder if any of those old magazines are archived on line somewhere.
