Shopsmith track saw = tilting arbor SS?

Post by jm51 »

Was looking at the Festool CMS system, maybe the idea could transfer to the Shopsmith?

Circular saw has the SS base plate (for guide track) fitted. New main table (530? lol) has a hole in the middle that takes the base plate. The circular saw is now a tilting arbor table saw. Also gives adjustable cut with a fixed height table so can build fixed extension tables. When not needed, a plate that takes the usual inserts is fitted.
