I have a brother in law that lives in Michigan City Ind, he loves to fish. I loved to visit him and fish for chinook salmon 30 years ago but for one reason of another every time we visit now they are never in season.

I used to live in South Bend which wasn't too far. And I LOVE to fish. In fact, the last summer I was living there I had a three month spell between my old job and moving to central Indiana that all I did was fish. Almost every day I dropped my boat in the St. Joe and was continually amazed at how many smallmouth, largemouth, perch, walleye, and bluegill were in the dammed up portion in Mishawaka.

For whatever reason, I never got into fishing on the big lake. Now I regret it.

Now I live near St. Louis, where "Hoosier" has an entirely different - and non-flattering - definition.

Went from Shopsmith wannabe to Shopsmith nut in 6 months. Started with a Mk V 510 and now have more SS stuff than anybody should.

My other sweethearts one straight fishing one fish/hunt.
I used to love fishing the creeks for stealhead and salmon but my hip just gets sore walking to the mailbox now.
My favorite lakes are mostly in Warsaw In. area The boat on the top is two years old I've had it in 48 lakes now.
Another of my hobbies is making lures not sure how to work the Shopsmith into that except large top water plugs.

Hoosiers?

Born, raised and stayed in South Bend. Used to fish with my dad, but not since his death in the late 70's. I am now retired, but between woodworking and bird watching, I haven't the time for fishing.
