Checking Orders Going Back to Jan 2008

Post by backhertz »

I went through my notebook of printouts and came across one that listed all my orders going back a long time.

I had no idea how I stumbled onto Shopsmith Order History and Order Status. It had every single order since Jan 2008. All I had to do was click on the order number in blue and a Shipsment Order appeared.

So I typed in the url on the bottom of the page and voila! I got into my old owners section which I hadn't seen in years showing all my orders from Jan 2008 until last week. Pretty cool. If you know your account number and phone number without the area code, type this URL or cut & paste it and simply nter your own data. For giggles & grins, I will use acct number: 1234567 and for my phone number I will use 555-1212.

Here is the URL below, try it & good luck:

Hmmmm, the system truncated the url. So I'll write it again but without the http:// and see if that works. Yes it did. So now I will post it and see if it truncates it.

Looks like it truncated it again. So this time I will leave out the http://www.shopsmith.com/ and see what happens:

ownersite/chkstatus.htm?acct=1234567&phone2=555&phone3=1212

Okay, that worked. So just type the http://www.shopsmith.com/
and the continue without any space with the owner site info-
your acct & phone number without the area code and good luck!

I just clicked on the truncated url and it went totally into my address
bar. I got an error message. So you might do click on the blue link, enter your acct & phone number and see what happens. The phone number is split into two areas for some reason.

Thanks Tony... Mine listed back to 2007; the year I bought my Goldie. It had every purchase from Shopsmith the last 5 years! I was surprised to see that several of the items i purchased in the past 5 years have gone up considerably in price. Alec

I know this sounds sarcastic but you didn't expect the prices to go down did you?

This is not new information. All of that data has been available for as long as I have been on the forum. The only thing that I see different is that it is all there at once.

I think I'll not run a total on what I have purchased. Having that information all available in one location could be hazardous to my health.

She pays the bills so she knows when I spend but I doubt if she has any idea how much I have spent. I don't even know that.

The information is not new but getting to it through the owners page link sure is easy. This is a new feature that has been added by SS (admin??) since this post was made.
