Shopsmith 2" Casters

Does anyone out there have the newer 2" casters. What Shopsmith is offering as a replacement caster appears to be a small version of the new 3" caster. This wheel assembly appears to be a bit heftier than the originals.

This picture shows the wheel assembly that I currently have and it also shows the original wheel along with the new wheel type that I put on my Pro Planer (heavier SPT).

Dusty,

I have the newer gray 2" SS wheels on my MK V PowerPro and my Power Stand. Wheels roll way better than the old black plastics ones.

I also have Menard's casters on 2 of my machines & they're a great improvement. About $4 each. Ball bearing swivel. I mentioned them in an earlier post that took on a life of it's own & analyzed the crap out of a simple, cheap, great, readily available concept. The bottom line is: they're all of the above.

Analysis(lengthy) due to a combination of past circumstances and insufficient info to determine if same circumstances existed.

Details are what nibble on yer derriere!;)
