Mark V Carriage Assembly Lock Rod

Mark V Carriage Assembly Lock Rod
The lock rod on my carriage assembly (Item #160 on the parts list) snapped where the roll pin penetrates the carriage lock handle. The on-line parts list says it is no longer available. Does anyone know where I can get another one? I guess I could have a local machine shop thread another rod for me if I can't locate one that is readily available. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Welcome! Always good to see a first time poster joining us.
Please give shopsmith a call and ask as they may have changed part numbers some where along the line.
The carriage should be around as it is a part that is replaced when a system is upgraded to a 510/520. Perhaps someone here would have an extra. Or start checking ebay, looking for a complete assembly.
