will newer shop smith attachments work on the 1948 er

hi i just recieved a gift shop smith 1948 er lots of attachments i was wondering if a newer shop smith bandsaw will work on 48 er thanks slab

Many will work with the right mounting adapter and headstock pulley.

Yes, Shopsmith marketed a power mount adapter and headstock drive pulley when they started selling the Mark V. There is a very helpful group on Yahoo that has information on adapters and variations on the headstock drive hub.

This fellow has LOTS of cool adapter stuff, and is always inventing new stuff. Good guy to deal with and he does a top notch job.
