lathe duplicator video problem?

Post by reible »

I was just visiting the lathe duplicator page

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... icator.htm

I was interested in the "shopsmith tools in action" videos. The first one on turning tapers seems fine. The second one on turning cylinders goes to the link but is dead at that point. Same for the third link about using a boring bar for bowls, dido for the last link about the cone cutter.

Can someone verify if those are or are not working links?

Thanks,

Ed

The first one loads and runs but the other three begin to load and then hang.

I am running Firefox.

Strange: Those links posted by bduemig all run.

Thanks for the youtube links they work fine.

Not so sure what is happening with the links on the shopsmith page but at least I got to watch them from your links.

I don't know why the shopsmith site vids don't work for you. They work for me (they are a little low in the window - the control bar at the bottom is only partially visible).

I am running Google Chrome. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The last hint was the clue I needed. You can not see enough of the bar below the video to see the "play" button. However if you run along the area with the mouse you can find it and click.

On the first video you can see the lower bar:

The other come up like this:

So they do play but you have to figure out where to click to get started.

My guess is that guests will just think the link isn't working, I also wonder how many more problems like this exist....

Again thanks for the help.
