Algale, db5, beeg, JPG40504, and greitz you guys are great. I tried all of your solutions. The real problem turned out to be the quill advancing slightly, enough to mess up a dado. The one solution that seemed to work the best was realigning the washer on the quill lock. I can't thank you enough your help it will make a little girl very happy when I get the finish on.

I am curious what you did to 'realign' it. Only thing I can think of is reversing the convex/concave sides in/out. Which way worked better?

I honestly don't know. I took it apart and cleaned it, maybe I reversed the washer, but after that nothing moved except for rotation. The dadoes were straight. I do know that I did everything you guys suggested and something worked. The last step was the cleaning and reassembly of the quill lock.

Jack, this is why I seem to never get a lot better at some things! I do something and it works better than before, but I have no idea what I did different, therefore I cannot repeat the process.

I have taken to writing notes about things like set up and alignments, so that if something works I have a chance to figure out what might have been a good thing. I must say the method has helped a few times, but not always.

I keep a digital camera handy. Pictures taken at the right time answer a lot of unanticipated questions (but only if you use the camera).
