Looking to buy, have question

Hi all, first thread on the forum. I took a break from woodworking for a few years and am now ready to get started all over again.
Thinking about the Shopsmith this time, how high is the unit when it is in the drill press position?

My Mark 7 is 79" in drill press position. Jim

Welcome to the forum.
Now do you mean total height of the tubes when in drill press mode or the table height?

My answer assumed you desired to know the height of the tubes in drill press position. At least that would have been my question as I assume one desires to know if ceiling height would allow use of machine in drill press position. Jim
