If that's the one I think it is. You'd be better off with the universal tool rest.

I have already ordered the one from the link I posted. The universal lathe rest looks better and used is even better. I really need to check these things out better before purchasing. But if the one in the posted link will work I'll be happy.
The following thread shows pictures of my shopsmith - it does look a little better than this now.
