shopsmith convention or gathering

Post by mgbbob »

I know in some of the old videos there was talk about an annual get together. Is there anything going on now days? It would be great to spend some time with folks that probably have a lot more experience than I do.

I would enjoy that as well, but probably couldn't be done without sponsorship and I'm not sure Shopsmith is in the postion to do so.

Hi Major Bob,

I think Shopsmith may monitor this forum so maybe they will get active. If you get to Ft. Leavenworth give me a shout.

Funny you should ask.

I just got off the phone with Linda. I was ordering some stuff I wanted and mentioned the old gatherings (they call them Sawdust Sessions). She said they enjoyed them as much as we did. However, she gave no indication there were any plans to start holding them again.

A few years ago there were folks who organized regional get gettogethers. As I recall those were enjoyed by attendees but did not catch on.
