Know about it but built my own by modifying the upper saw guard. Saved a few $$$.:)

Modified for dust collection or for non-through cut riving knife or both or something else?

I couldn't find my answer... Don't own one but plan to buy one or build one. :)

I ordered one based on what I read here. I'll let you know my poll answer in 10-12 weeks.

They sure sound like a good thing. The issue of arraigning the second hose has kept me from getting one. The amount of saw dust on the table has never been a serious issue for me. It seems the second hose would be more of a problem in my shop.

Hi,

Couldn't vote as I went with a home built. I tried to find a posting I did at the time I built one but can'f find the right words to search for or the posting was over at ssug.org.

I purchase an upper guard off ebay then used a saw hole to make a place to mount a hose. I added a cap to use when a hose was not in place... it is amazing how much saw dust will come out of that hole without it!

I wasn't using it today but stuck it on so I could post a couple of pictures. The hose is not the one I normally use but it was out so I just stuck it in place.

I find that this works pretty well but since I have only this and nothing to compare with. I do find that it is hard to position the hose at times. If I were inside I could attach it to a ceiling but outside I would need a sky hook.

All I did was drill a hole and attach a vacuum fitting to the top of the Shopsmith upper saw guard. Works fine but I don't like the hose being there atop the table. If I had an overhead collection system, it would be fine.
