Tube Polishing

Hi,
I am sure this has probably been used before, but I stumbled upon it on ebay. I inserted it in one end of base tube. Put a 5/8 inch socket on my 12 volt rechargeable drill (probably could use corded but I didn't want to risk expanding pipe) put it in forward. It turned with no problem at all. I am going to build a couple of V blocks for tube to sit in. I was going to use pillar bearings but as easy as it turned I think that will not be needed. I bought two but think one will do fine. If anyone has a setup using these I would like to see a picture. I will post a pic of completed jig after the holidays. The link below will take you to it:

Some people here have used a plumbers plug to do the same thing. They also have used skate board wheels to hold the free end of the tube

I used a pipe plug from Lowes and two caster wheels screwed to a board to turn my tubes on my 520. I also used freeze plug replacements from Auto Zone.

Yep. This is how I did my ER tubes.

And when I was restoring my M5, I used my ER like this:

Both times using "marine plug" or "stop plug" or whatever name it goes by in your neck of the woods.
