Ocillating Multi-Tool Replacement Blades

Post by berry »

There are threads here that review ocillating multi-tools, like Fein, PC, B&D etc. And I know some folks think they're useful while others think they're useless.

But for those who have and use them I found a new (at least to me) bi-metal blade that is head and shoulders above the OEM equipment.

I stopped at Woodcraft for a replacement blade for my multi-tool and the clerk suggested these Imperial brand blades. Made in the USA!! They did a great job on wood molding, dry wall, paneling, and cut a half dozen nails too - the blade is like new. I haven't tried it on PVC or PW yet.

Thanks for the tip! I have found my own multi-tool invaluable for grout removal in the shower, and the plunge-cutting capability through both drywall and wood trim has made a couple of remodeling projects easier than they had any right to be. The OEM blades are holding up so far, but now I know where to get good replacements when the time comes.
