It's a 510 with seemingly no SPTs and hard to tell but presumably complete with all the basic stuff. Lots of Woodsmith mags. At least around me I'd say $500-$600 topsstickthrower wrote:Looks like a shopsmith is being parted out in St. Paul.

Was there ever ANY doubt?:D
Snicker if ya wish, but has nice(albeit rusty) CI tableS.
Wonder where he got the belt cover sticker.

I bet there's a story behind all that blood splatter. Maybe that's why it's so cheap

Yes, this item is a clone. Appears to be a Wood Master or Total Shop. No new internal headstock hardware parts are available and the Shopsmith headstock hardware parts do not fit. The headstock is a little longer to handle the 2 HP 110/220 VAC motor, most which are reversibe. This clone has a double bearing quill. The Shopsmith Poly-V and motor belts will work on this clone. All Shopsmith SPTs, attachments and accessories will fit this clone. It has steel table tops, very heavy and the miter slot is a different width than the Shopsmith. The Shopsmith 500 main table insert fits the clone table.fredsheldon wrote:Ok, let's not all tie up this guys phone line all at once.![]()

I found the speed control bracket legs and quadrant along with the control sheave bearing are the parts that always breaks/fails and will need replacing. A lack of lubrication is the same as the Shopsmith problem. It has an excellant motor, if it operates, to use as a power source for other woodworking equipment. This was the reason I brought a few of them. Be sure to check the bearing at the end of the control sheave along with the speed control bracket legs and quadrant teeth if anyone looks at this machine. These parts can be checked through the logo cover hole in the headstock casing with a good light. I do not have any of these parts available. Contact me if anyone has any questions. Thanks.
