Witch way does it go
Morning all, my question to you is. I can’t get the riving knife centered on the on saw blade. I have adjusted the stop screw 514410 with no help. I turned the spindle knob 518204 around having the small end towards the headstock that works. The riving knife is centered, but that is not the way the spindle knob was turned when I received my Mark 7. So witch way does it go, small in towards the headstock or saw blade?

I don't think it makes a difference but which riving knife are we discussing? There is one that comes as part of the upper saw guard and there is a separate one that is used without the upper saw guard. It being intended for non-thru cuts.
They both get inserted into the lower saw guard and secured there using the guard lock knob.
Both get adjusted by loosening the socket head screw (#215) and moving the lower saw guard left or right on the shaft to get proper position and then locking in place by tightening the socket head screw.

Fascinating. Do you have some documentation that calls a 518204 a "spindle knob"? Is there a picture accompanying the reference?putter wrote:Morning all, my question to you is. Mark V 520, Power-Pro!; Speed Reducer; B/S; Jointer; ShopMate DCS; SS Tenon Master; Rip-Strate; Incra; BCTW; DW734; var. SS sanding systems; Wood River;
I'm going to take a guess that we are talking about the current 505/510/520 mark 7 ish systems. In case the reference is to an older system then this is not going to be the way to do it. Give us a yell back if that is the case.
