Nova G3 - ETA?

I was not able to take advantage of the previous deal on the SS Nova G3 chuck package, but just ordered one on the current promo. Of course, my order confirmation lists it as "out of stock." For me this is the most aggravating thing about dealing with the company.
Can folks who have ordered these in the past please give me some idea of how long it took before you received yours?
Thanks.

Ordered mine and Dave said approx 2 weeks. Not certain if that was order to delivery or to when delivery would begin. he said they would gather up all the orders for the week and send them to Tekna and then about after about a week they would send them.
Not certain if that helps you much, but I presume to start hounding the UPS guy in a couple weeks.

I pretty much assume anything I buy on the sale page will have a longer than average wait time. Linda told me before that items are usually 7-10 business days if they run out of stock.
Previous G3 Chuck was drop shipped.

Previous G3 Chucks were drop shipped. They arrived from Nova and as such did not come w/ a Shopsmith packing slip. Print the order if your OCD about keeping your Shopsmith purchase orders.
Over a year after I got the chuck, I needed the order number and date to prove to Shopsmith Customer service that I ordered the chuck from Shopsmith. I couldn't find the purchase order.
Shopsmith accepted my estimate of the purchase date and sent the correct adapter for Nova/Shopsmith.
Correct adapteris stamped with a "S" on a flat on the side. There is an E stamped on the end - but I don't know why. The "S" is longer, rests against the spindle collar, and the set screw may be angled to match the reverse angle of the flat on the drive spindle. The adapter that came in the box was stamped with an "F", plain 5/8". I had to search for the position to tigjten the setscrew and missed it frequently. The chuck and turning would come loose on the spindle, vibrate, had to be repositioned, and the set screw reset
Thanks to Shopsmith Customer service, I have the correct adapter.

I ordered one the last time it was a promo and I can't remember exactly but it was somewhere between 1-2 weeks from when I ordered it and when it arrived. As noted, it was drop shipped directly from Nova

A few months back, I had ordered the overhead pin router which was on sale, a 2 bearing quill upgrade for my 500, and another item that was in stock.
What I found displeasing was the pin router was on back order(even though on a sale promo), and the other 2 items were held in warehouse until the pin router would if ever arrive.
After waiting 3 weeks, I cancelled the pin router and recieved the other items in about 5 days.

Ordered mine during the last promo and was told 2 to 3 weeks. I had mine in my hand inside of a week. It came direct from manuf. not Shopsmith. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. Just remember that the jaws tighten in reverse direction i.e. CCW.

It is not uncommon for them to be out of stock on the 'specials'. I experienced this a couple of times when I was trying to get the fence stop (third time was a charm). Anyway, on the previous two tries SS held the other items ordered at the same time only when the value of those items was below $30 (or something like that).
I wonder if Shopsmith has changed their policy regarding partial shipments.

I've always had them ship whatever items are available and just hold off on the backordered item - I've never had them wait on the available items until the backordered item(s) arrived. I'm still waiting for my bandsaw table extension BTW...I could have bouight one used on E-Bay about 3-4 times over by now in the time I've waited for it. No big dead but what does bug me is they never provide any sort of e-mail update saying "sorry, this item is still backordered but we expect to have it by XX-YY-ZZ (or just simply we'll send it when it becomes available)" - I've never heard anything since it was ordered and I was informed on my shipping invoice that it was backordered...makes me wornder if they even remember I ordered it at this point.

I agree that if the delay is expected to be more than 2 weeks, they should email the customer offering an estimated timeframe and refund/cancellation.
