How to. . .

How to. . .
piss off your wife, make a statement (which she gets) and get no back talk with four simple words.
After dinner tonight my wife asked what pie was for desert. I replied that I didn't want any. She asked why. My response was that I didn't feel like it but she could have whatever she wanted (3 where in the freezer). She then said that if I wasn't having any then she wasn't either and wanted to know why I didn't feel like it.
Four simple words:
I have a headache.
She wants to go shopping? You have a headache.
She wants you to take her to her doctor's appointment? You have a headache so she will have to drive herself.
She wants you to go to the grocery store (market) with her; you have a headache.
She wants to go out to dinner? You have a headache.
She wants to go to a movie? Guess what?
Stop being the "I'll take care of it guy" , when that isn't what she wants or appreciates. So long as you keep doing that you will be the one who caters to her whims. That doesn't mean you don't take care of her but it doesn't mean that you should be woosied out like the younger males and cave in to what she wants.
Headaches are a two way street. Remember that.

Whoa there, I see eunuchs of all ages.db5 wrote:That doesn't mean you don't take care of her but it doesn't mean that you should be woosied out like the younger males and cave in to what she wants.
I happen to agree 100% with what db5 is saying, and its how I now handle things. I was in a relationship with the center of the universe until a year and a half ago and that's no way to live life. Don't poo poo the idea, it definitely works, but I wouldn't recommend anyone that's been married for 20+ years to start doing this tomorrow! Like any change you want to ease into it.

Psychologist, no. Observationist, yes! Frustrated? That's all relative, there are many causes of frustration but in the context of this discussion its just an inverse function of effort expended. And of course standardsJPG40504 wrote:I see a frustrated psychologist!:D
Now if someone could find a way to parlay that headache into hiding the credit cards...
For awhile there I thought you were talking about me JPG. I wondered how the hell did he know? Is he psychic along with his other talents. But I see it was just a SWAG directed to the wrong person.frank81 wrote:Psychologist, no. Observationist, yes! Frustrated?
