Conduit yet another project/test

So this is my latest conduit project. It is a project and a test at the same time.

The concept is to make a sliding pegboard piece that will ride along in front of a shelf system thus allowing access to the shelf about half at a time.

The frame of the pegboard is made out of 1/2" conduit. Using self tapping sheet metal screws though holes in the pegboard then into the conduit.

The pegboard is used to locate the placement of the sheet metal screws.

The backside

The hanger bit is a 3/4" piece of conduit, the top holes are getting a screw driver into to tighten the screws shown in the next picture.

More to come.

The rod will be another piece of 1/2" conduit. I'm thinking a coat of wax or some thin lube will let things slide easy enough because the intended load will not be excessive. Time will tell on this.

I don't have the shelf yet so I can not mount or test it. The bottom will ride against a board to keep the pegboard vertical. So that is about all I can show you at the moment.

I see you have gone conduit crazy :D

I really like the design and will probably steal it, very resourceful! :)
