Belt Sander question #2

I have watched the video but have a question about the table position. The catalog says the table can be placed on the side of the belt. The only photo I see with the table on the side is with the use of the drum sander. Am I correct that the table can be used on the side with the belt? Is there a photo on the web that show this?
Also what is the table made of? Cast Iron or aluminum?

Here you go Cincin,

- One pix shows the table perpendicular and the smallest of the SS drum sanders attached to the spindle via a drill chuck. The other snapshot shows the table on the side in vertical position with the largest of the drum sanders attached to the spindle. Intended to also include a picture of the miter gauge located in the table slot, but was too lazy to remove the miter extension from the gauge. Incidentally, the miter gauge can be temporarily fixed to the table by tightening the slot adjustment screw.

Thanks for the pic. Exactly what I needed to see. That one pic alone, with the table on the side has made my mind up I will purchase the belt sander. never realized you could mount it that way and exactly what I needed. Now if only the free shipping deal was going on now as it was a few days ago.

Not that you'll want to wait:rolleyes: , but a little patience will probably prove to be beneficial: It seems to me that they do offer the free shipping on a regular basis.

We will forgive him, won't we? He was probably worried about the coming snow storm - several weeks hence. Or maybe a Sawdust session! Or ---.
