Has anyone ever used a Sawsmith radial arm saw? If so, was it any better then every other 10" radial arm saw? Is there anything different about it over other brands?

I bought a Saw Smith about 3 weeks ago that was listed for $40.00 in the Cleveland, Ohio craigslist. For a machine designed more than 50yrs ago it is really built! Super heavy duty stand, a power head that can mount the blade left or right of the motor, the power head rotates 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal , 6 speed control settings, can use assorted SS attachments ,20" bed travel on the y axis.

I will take the machine apart , rebuild and restore the colors as when new.
A quick test of the motor was great with no bearing noises or smoke.

It can with the Sawsmith 1-1/4" saw arbor. This special arbor allows mounting the blade on either output shaft. Otherwise, you can use 5/8" bored blades on either side of the machine.
