I am making some small keepsake boxes using 1/4 in thick stock and was having trouble finding hardware that has fasteners for the thin material. My local Woodcraft has small hardware but the fasteners are all too long.
Small Box Hardware has fasteners that are #2 x 1/4. I found hinges and hasps that will work.
Thanks
Dave
Sure hope it doesn't come with problems!

I took a chance and placed an order. Seems to be a safe place to deal with.
I won't count my chickens before I get my order tho.

Thanks for the thought. I believe I have finally recovered from whatever that was that got me.
What worries me is that all happened after a very active week on Google and Amazon. I bought a lot of "stuff" for the RV renovation from a lot of sites that I never would visit otherwise. Could one of them have been the source of my problem???

Count yourself lucky it was just the computer problems. I made a purchse at what used to be buy.com, basically the same as amazon marketplace, on a Friday and by Monday at noon my bank shut my card own because it was being used all over the internet. Didn't cost me anything other than a headache though.dusty wrote:Thanks for the thought. I believe I have finally recovered from whatever that was that got me.

Sounds like you have a key logger on your computer. Many anti-virus scanners do not detect all key loggers. SpyBot is free and amazing and catches things that Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc misses.

Woodcraft is very, very proud of their inventory.
I am also finding that the proprietors of stores that handle vintage RV trailer parts are proud of their inventory. They are especially proud if the parts you want were also used by Airstream.

That is the reason I classify what I do as resto-mod rather restoration. Those prices are for the guys that want to do a mint restoration, not near-mint but mint so they have to have 100% original parts from that exact model year. Most anything on those trailers can be fabricated new at a local shop cheaper than even ebay prices.dusty wrote:Woodcraft is very, very proud of their inventory.

As for Woodcraft, I have found items on their website when researching ideas then checked the big Ace Hardware in town and they had the exact same item for less.
