Speed Control Quadrant Bolt Kit

Post by billmayo »

I rebuilt a headstock yesterday and replaced the Speed Control Quadrant roll pin with a 2 1/2" #10-32 allen head bolt, 2 star washers and a nylock nut. I have used this bolt kit in over 300 Speed Control Assemblies in the past 10 years with out any Speed Control failures after the fix. I have been supplying this free bolt kit along with instructions to customers and Forum members as this prevents future problems to the most common replaced part (quadrant) in the Shopsmith headstock. Of course, suppling this free bolt kit has gotten me a few new customers too as I have available almost any Shopsmith part, accessories, attachment or SPT. I recondition or rebuilt almost any item I have available.

I would like to extend this offer again. I would need your address, no PO box, if interested sent to my Email address or a PM. If I do not respond within a week or so, please try again as my Email messages gets lost sometimes or I forgot I had gotten it. My responses can be much slower these days due to my health problems.
Thanks.

Thanks for the posting of the Speed Control Quadrant Bolt Kit. The web site should not be available any more. Send any request to my Email address listed in any of my posts. I feel this was the best upgrade I have done for the Shopsmith headstock. I will be happy to answer any Shopsmith questions and have any headstock part available which I have recondition to like-new condition. Please Email again if I have not responded as my health and memory are both quite bad these days. Thanks.

one vouch for Bill

I got the bolt and instructions from Bill some time ago when my quadrant was messed up due to turning the speed down too fast.

Easy installation, but the best is that it did the trick and works as advertised.:)

Thanks Bill!
