Has anyone connected non SS brand add ons to their SS?

I picked up a vintage dunlop sears "scroll saw" jigsaw the other day. It didn't have a motor so I put a spare pulley and belt on the SS headstock. I think it should work well but I still have to work on the mounting a little. I have been wondering the whole time messing around with this saw if anyone else has improvised non SS brand tools running off their SS. I will add some pictures from of my little project once it is all sorted out.

Meanwhile anyone else care to share?

It has been done. Typically mounted to an extension(modified) table etc.

Wow that ice cream maker is a cool one, great picture too! Thanks for posting that but now I am going to have to find a giant flex shaft like that lady in polishing the car with now

Ice Cream maker appears to have its own independent motor. am I seeing that right?

That is an older style of SS that didn't have the motor built into a case. See how the headstock looks smaller, it is just the pulley system sheaves in there.

All those things were available/possible then, but not all operating at the same time(well the ice cream maker excepted).

Do not let yer OSHA gurus see that picx!:eek: Not good fer their health!:D

BTW 49 Ford. Trunk hinges give it away.

Good thing that lady is using a buffer on that nice looking paint job since the little girl's overspray is providing a new top coat.
