to be displayed here on the forum.

This means (at least for the time being) that I will be posting fewer (if any) Sketchup drawings here.

I still have not repaired my GOTO computer and what I have been able to put back in service produces PNG images that do not not position properly for display on the forum.

I guess I should ask. What application do you guys use to convert JPG to PNG and to resize the resulting PNG files.

Sketchup produces a PNG image and Paint will resize it BUT the resulting Paint PNG image is displaced in the image field (parts chopped off).

and I may now know how to resize them to be compatible with the forum requirements.

I have (at least for the moment) found a solution.

Now, if only I could attach the SKP file from Sketchup.

I have, however, placed this file in the Sketchup 3D Warehouse (Now more properly referred to as the Trimble 3D Warehouse).

Nice model!

Maybe I misunderstand, but here's a PNG right from SketchUp (free version)

In the EXPORT 2D dialog, click on options at the bottom right, after selecting PNG from EXPORT TYPE:

Here you can save any size you like

VERY INTERESTING.

I'll go, immediately, to see what I have been missing. You may be using a later (or different) version of Sketchup OR I am missing something.

I have been unaware of that feature FOREVER. I guess it was always right there in front of me. Thank you so very much.

I use Version 13 on my iMac at Dave Richard's suggestion. Fortunately, I popped for Photoshop Elements a few years ago and it makes cropping and re-sizing pretty easy. I still have much to learn about SketchUp and like to hear hints like on this thread.

My next project design to hold my inspiration's wine glasses is complete::D

I've been using Image Resizer for Windows. Works like a charm on XP and higher and good image quality. It only resizes....no cropping, etc.

From the "Project" Page:
 • What formats does Image Resizer support?
By default, image files with the following extentions can be resized: bmp, dib, gif, ico, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff, wdp. However, Image Resizer will also be able to use any Windows Imaging Codecs (WIC) that have been installed. For example, after installing the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack, vendor-specific formats from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Pentax, Leica, Minolta, Epson, and Panasonic can also be resized.
Thank you. I have loaded that as well and it does work (even for me).

You're welcome, Dusty. Like I said.....I've had really good luck with it, and it has a small footprint and have seen no evidence of it containing bloatware.
