Static discharges with the SS dust collector

Post by reluctant43 »

I have received a few impressive jolts when using my SS dust collector with my new DeWalt 735 planer. The planer has a blower to assist with chip ejection and I think the added airflow adds to the static charge. I use the premium hose but can't picture how to ground it. Do you just tape a bare wire along the whole length of the hose, and if so how to you ground it? Clip the wire to the body of the collector somehow? If anyone can draw me a diagram that would be very helpful.
