Good Deal in Dallas Area

Post by db5 »

Saw this today. I love the Mk. VII and this seems to be a great deal. The advantages over the other SS products earlier or later are these:

The motor is reversible.
Tilt is both ways.
The adjustment with the rack is incremental and addictive.

The problems are the speed control CAM which often is broken, cracked or abused.

If this is in good shape it is a bargain even if there is some rust and it needs refurbishing.

If I had room I would ask my son to inspect it and if it was good I could load it in my Lincoln Town Car (yes it will fit when dissembled).

While I have learned to do some things with my 510 that I probably couldn't have done with the Mk. VII I still preferred that machine.

For someone who wants to get started this is a great machine at a good price.

Badly needs TLC, but if rack and cam are good and motor runs, its a deal. Wonder if a box of goodies comes with it?

i.e. I agree!!!!;)
