True-Trac Track Saw System
saw a sale on this from shopsmith---i use a lot of plywood & have a straight that i use --but it's a pain to line up---this sounds like a pretty good system for a "reasonable" price----anyone have any thoughts or experience with this

It looks to me as though they have the blade on backwards. Other than that, this looks like a neat arrangement too. Price isn't bad either.

I have a trac saw too. I really like the price tag on mine and it works pretty good even if I have to say so myself.

Here are a couple pics of my "track saw".
I just laid in a t track in some 3/4 ply, 8' long.

Then attached the matching t track insert on my Skil 77.

The first cut establishes the cut line so that it can be aligned with the penciled mark at each end of the cut. I allowed 1 1/2" of ply on the side opposite the cut line for clamping.
I fully intended to make a short version, just haven't done it.
This jig is accurate to the point that pieces can be cut to finished size.
