Here is a 2.5 year old thread discussing it: https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=8536

It looks to me as though they have the blade on backwards. Other than that, this looks like a neat arrangement too. Price isn't bad either.

Dusty;
I thought the same thing until I took a second look and saw the dust chute. Also noted that it has a riving knife to keep the kerf open. Also looks to have plastic knobs to set the bevel which may be vulnerable to breakage. It does not appear to be "industrial"quality from the pix.

You are right. I was trying to push the saw from the wrong side. I did not notice the riving knife and thought that the dust chute would be a problem. My observation skills leave much to be desired.:rolleyes:

I have a trac saw too. I really like the price tag on mine and it works pretty good even if I have to say so myself.

Dusty;
I "REALY" like your version. I have the same saw and use the clamp straight edge just guiding it myself but yours looks like a much better system. I will have to try that approach. Thanks for showing it.

Here are a couple pics of my "track saw".
I just laid in a t track in some 3/4 ply, 8' long.

Then attached the matching t track insert on my Skil 77.

The first cut establishes the cut line so that it can be aligned with the penciled mark at each end of the cut. I allowed 1 1/2" of ply on the side opposite the cut line for clamping.
I fully intended to make a short version, just haven't done it.
This jig is accurate to the point that pieces can be cut to finished size.
