Has anyone upgrade the old Mark VII to the Power Pro?

One would have to fabricate different mounts for the motor and control board.
The control panel mounting also.
The spear would have to go bye-bye.
The idler shaft may present problems(the eccentric od is larger on the VII).
As a first look that is what I see as 'issues' to be resolved as seen from afar.
Interesting thought!!!

Thank you Sir.....;the Power Pro weight would probably have been to much for the old rack on the Mrk VII anyway.(Would have been nice though.)

Why????
The Mark V/7 tubes are thinner IIRC. At the very least they are the same!

I was referring to the plastic rack(Gear track or what ever the proper name is) Moving the addition wight of the Power Pro headstock using it may have ended it's life a bit quickly.

I doubt that 'extra' weight would affect it.
However they do get 'brittle'.
