10ER drill press video

Post by rpd »

I just ran across this video on YouTube and thought I would share it here.
Shopsmith10ER
He has made a nice drill press base for the 10ER with a built in cabinet and a separate leg to support the left end, for the odd time he wants to use it in horizontal mode.

He also has another video showing how he makes mobile bases for his various equipment.
Retractable Casters for Power Tools

I enjoyed these and hope you do too.:)

I really like the retractable caster design. I'm going to try this on my workbench if I ever get it finished.

Thanks for posting mobile base video. I was contemplating using a Matthias Wandel design http://woodgears.ca/mobile_base/index.html for my dedicated drill press.https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=14400 But I think this will be simpler and more practicable.
