There is no paper clip on mine, either. The method may have changed. Here's what works for me...

Look for red bar underneath your editing area that says "Additional Options." If that area is blank you'll need to press the blue button on the right side to reveal more.

Look the "Attach Files" section and the "Manage Attachments" button. Press that button and a new browser window pops up. Select the files you want to upload. Basically, the routine boils down to choose file, upload file, close window.

Now, back in your usual message editing window you'll see a drop down bar that says Attachments. The photo you just uploaded will be listed there. Choose the one you want and the editor will add that ATTACH code to put them in place as shown below...

You can then preview your post to see how it looks.

What Operating System (Windows XP, Windows 7 or what) and which Browser (Firefox, Explorer or what) are you using? The browser version should have little or no effect on pictures but I am curious.

Browser can cause problems

Post by forrestb »

For some unknown reason a few months back, under Mac Safari I suddenly could not post a picture to the forum. Someone suggested trying another browser so I downloaded Chrome and I could post pictures.

I kept trying under Safari and one day -voila! - I could again post pics under Safari.

Try another browser and see what happens.

Forrest

PS still a mystery as to why this happened.

I click on "Post Reply" under the last post, which I thinks takes you to "advanced"

After you click on "Post Reply" do you see either of these?

If you do not have the first of these two, I don't know how to proceed since this is fundamental to the Shopsmith Forum and I have never had anything different (that I recall).

See the Paper Clip? First step to posting pictures (one method).
