My Sincerest Apologies!

To everyone on this forum who in the past few months has had to endure my inability to properly read questions, provide intelligible answers or even have a clue....

I Am SORRY

Throughout most of my life I have been able to make things work by preparing a contingency for every thing I could see happening. I have always liked Kipling's ideas and ideals expressed in "If".

Due to circumstances WAY beyond my comprehension and future vision, let alone control, I have been dragged into a series of clusterf$#@s.

Because of that, I read some of these posts without comprehension, quality nor qualification. then i have the audacity to offer an opinion

or heaven forbid, advice!

My current world and it's circumstances should not affect nor effect your world and for that, I apologize.

(unless by some wild ass chance something I said turns positive!)

I did recognize that I was doing dis-service to this forum a while back, but ignored my own advise. Arrogance and Ignorance are NOT a good combination to strive for, at least not for me.

Anyway, for the future, when I offer advise or any such nonsense, conventional wisdom is to ignore it. And for those of you wise enough to have hopped on that bandwagon long ago, Congratulations!

I cannot say that I either agree nor understand that stuff about being a dis service.

I think you are being too hard on yourself!:)

As always I judge responses by what is said etc..

I'm with JPG, I think you are being too hard on yourself.

You know if everyone thought like this we would move SS woodworking, or the craft in general, back to a time when the "knowledge" was tightly held and seldom shared. I don't think we want that.

My experience here is if your advice is crap, someone will call you on it quickly.

Seems to me you’ve offered plenty of insightful and informative posts as well as thoughtful, sometimes impassioned and even humorous commentary.

Ben, you phrased everything so well. With the use of the above phrase I assume (perhaps wrongly) that you are a former marine. Correct or not you are part of this brotherhood and know that we never leave a brother behind.

THANK YOU

I am amazed that I have better friends on this forum (though I guess I shouldn't be amazed. just thankful) whom I have never met than a few who call me friend to my face and screw me without so much as a reach around. I've a blanket party planned

for the maggot that caused me grief and things are finally getting on an even keel.

This forum has provided me with a very enjoyable escape from real-world stresses. Certain things pleasurably tickle the neurons of most of the regulars here. We have no hidden agendas. We seek only to share our thoughts and experiences with those having similar interests. Companionship, in other words.

Ben, you may be the nicest guy on this forum. Each and every post you have made has brightened my day in some way. Except for the apology post ... which merely left me thinking "Huh?"
