Jigsaw tube arm lock missing

I have an old 1955 Jigsaw, but I'm missing the bolt that locks the tube arm to the base. Can someone post pictures / description of that part, please? I have attached a photo with an arrow to point to the missing part. Thanks!

I'm sorry to tell you that what you are missing is more than just a "bolt." It is an assembly of parts to clamp the round arm to the base. And the really bad news is that it is not stocked by Shopsmith (I know, I checked when I needed one). My solution is to make up my own based on the following diagram from the parts manual:

Joe, what is the OD of the wedges that joefitz needs? When the wedges come together, what is their over all length?

Thank you both for the info. This helps a lot! I actually contacted Bill Mayo via email before I posted this - waiting for a reply. Good idea about using a nylon bushing - I should be able to do something like that.

1/2" od x 1 1/4". Two pieces equal length, 1/4" clearance hole through one and 1/4-20 threads through the other. Flat clears the arm od. Bevel provides clamp. Similar to carriage and headstock locks, but smaller.
Be patient re response from Bill.
Repeat in a week if no response.

joe and joe, I asked because I thought I might have some parts that could be used to fabricate the missing parts. These have an OD of 1/2", an ID of 1/4" and are 1" long. They are aluminum. If they might help, let me know.

Did you hear back from Bill? If not send another email to him.
