Paper clip missing

I tried to respond to a post and I wanted to post a pic and the paper clip is missing from the area above the are where I type. If I drop down to the "additional options" section and click on "manage attachments" I get the screen that lets me do a search for the image I want to post. I used to get that screen when I clicked on the paper clip.
Does anyone know if anything has changed? Or have I maybe changed something?

Have you changed operating systems or browsers?

I did change or rather updated IE from IE8 to IE11 because a website advised me that they were dropping support for IE8. So I updated and the stuff hit the fan. I started to get the occasional blue words in the texts and if my cursor crossed over the blue words I immediately got a popup even though my popup blocker was turned on.
Took over an hour for my IE provider and myself to remove the adware that was loaded by Microsoft when I did the update. Yes it was Microsoft that did it because I went to the MS site to download the update. So, pray tell, how do I get my paper clip back?

I'm a firefox guy but I did bring up IE 11 to see if I would see a paper clip.
No paper clip to be found. The whole message area looks different in IE.
You can still do the same functions but have to use what IE has to offer, I guess, that is unless you want to move to another browser.

Drop IE and change to Firefox would be my recommendation.

Staples sells them for a couple dollars a box. You might want to look there.
(Sorry, that was just so tempting!)
Seriously though. I've got paperclips on Google Chrome. Try a different browser.
