Just got home with SS #2. Very clean and the motor had been checked, inside housing cleaned and all lubed. Noisy when first fired up in 35* weather. After 30 seconds settled down to smooth and quiet. I received the owner's manual with this one. After advice from Mr. Mayo, I am going to make it a shorty. It will clear joists in the basement ceiling easily and it will see most use with jigsaw and strip sander mounted. That leaves tablesaw on #1 with 2000 Incra and Miter Express and Jointer most of the time. By the bye- the Incras virtually end the out of square issues for the table saw. They get pulled to rip- of course on # 2 I could also leave the table saw since I am set up on the right hand slot.

I doubt I will get any argument- having the two is really convenient but still retains the SS feeling of adaptability- bandsaw and belt sander.mt

Congrats!
There really is no argument against having two Mark Vs in one home.
With so many SPTs offered, having two units allows a woodworker something of a production line.
You won't regret having a shorty in the work force either. I'm already using mine in some pretty creative ways, plus it is an effective in-feed and out-feed table that can match height and angle of the mark V that does the cutting.
Kudos again!
