I wish afib was a lie, but for me it wasn't a joke! I've been having afib with tachycardia all summer. Heart rates of over 220 beats per minute. I have an physically and mentally demanding job (funeral director), and at the advise of my cardiologist ( he did not want me to become my own client!), decided to have a cardiac cathartic ablation which was performed Friday. Eleven hours under on the table! Holy crap, I've been loopy for days, but finally got that out of my system. Not allowed to lift over five pounds, but I have a lot of small pieces of wood to turn into window dressing for some birdhouses. Time to get busy!
No more rapid/irregular heartbeats. I can act my age again. I'm a 25 old year in a 55 year old body!
Cudos to Yale-new Haven Hospital and it's staff. Top notch, except for giving me decaf coffee!;)

I feel your pain on the decaf. If its any help, I will share that the best thing I ever did for my PAC's ("skipped" beats) was cut way back on the high octane stuff. I can still get away with a cup of espresso now and then, but the daily dose is a thing of the past. It takes some getting used to, but the heart seems to approve. and we need to keep the heart happy because there is a lot of sawdust waiting to be made.

I feel your pain on the decaf. If its any help, I will share that the best thing I ever did for my PAC's ("skipped" beats) was cut way back on the high octane stuff. 10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Chris, good to hear that you have your heart on a more regular beat per minute. Keep those bird houses coming............
I keep finding little windows on this forum, that I don't really know what they do. So sometimes I experiment. Probably shouldn't do that, I know in my shop it can get me into trouble.
