I started out to finish a bowl. Got it set up turned on my '84 Mod 500 and SQUEAL! Traced it to the drive sleeve assembly. I have the bearings on order and decided that if I am going this far in I should replace the original belts along with the bearings. Well went to Shopsmith .com and low and behold the part numbers have changed i think. My old number was 504170 new is 521681 for the poly V and old 504193 and new is 521682. I haven't ordered yet until I get confirmation. So after all this my question is, am I correct with these part number changes.

Yes the part numbers have changed but I think that if you order by the old numbers you will get the correct parts. The last time I ordered belts I noticed a number change on the confirmation E-Mail, I called CS and Jan said that they changed the numbers when they changed vendors as a quality control measure. Also for the bearings I use 6205-2RS from a company called VXB on the net. I prefer the sealed bearing to the shielded type but it is mostly a personal thing but I do think the sealed bearing is better because of the sanding dust getting the bearings.
