Eccentric Band Saw Tubes 555626

I recently came into a set of the special band saw eccentric tubes, 555626, seen in the catalog here here. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/bandsawecc_mountingtubes.htm

First, as others have reported including in the reviews see here http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/review/show_reviews/555626, there is significant spring/bounce/vibration in these tubes. To minimize bounce, I have found that it is best while coupling it to the headstrock (1) to push the top of the band saw away from the headstock as far as you can and (2) push hard against the headstock before engaging the headstock lock. This takes up a lot of the spring.

Second, my eccentric tubes came with a pair of stop collars installed. These are not shown in the catalog. Question to those who have bought these new from the mother ship: did they come with stop collars and instructions on use? As best I can tell, they need to be installed on the tube that goes into the headrest and all the way up to the flat bar to get correct vertical alignment of the band saw. Without them I would have to lift the band saw on the upper tube to the point where the upper tube would not be secured in the upper part of the band saw casting.
