Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help, this is a UK based query - my husband owns a Shopsmith Mark V Model 500 and he wants a new circular saw blade - can't seem to find a company in UK that supplies them, is there another make of blade that can be used that I could source in UK.
Thanks

This would normally be a simple question to answer. Your being across the pond makes it a bit more difficult.
If he has the 5/8" saw arbor, common 10" (or even 8") saw blades for use on 5/8" arbors will work just fine. The make of the blade is immaterial if the arbor is 5/8" and the blade diameter does not exceed 10".
You might also want to shop around for Amana Saw Blades. I believe they originated in Europe and might be more readily available in the UK than other manufacturers. Amana did manufacture a blade that fits the larger (1 1/4") saw arbor common to Shopsmith.

It looks like the UK ShopSmith distributor is Martin's Supplies,
they should have what you need.
I am guessing that he has the standard ShopSmith arbour which uses blades with a large (1 1/4" inch) hole in the centre. In that case the blades listed on the page linked to above will work.
Another option (not inexpensive) would be to get one of these arbours
MARK V 500 5/8" Saw Arbor with 30mm conversion
this would allow him to use saw blades with a 30mm centre hole, which is I believe the standard size in Europe and thus readily available.
