It does seem a bit odd but if you think about which companies have formed a business relationship with Shopsmith the list is short. Incra is the only thriving business that I can think of that has "partnered" with Shopsmith.
Yes, there are a few whose products can be adapted to work with a Mark 5/V but none with a "product line".
I think this is just a marketing format. Both manufacturers benefit from the marriage.
