Several months ago, while in Target, my wife told me that their 3M air-filters were on clearance (less than $3 each). My house requires four 12x24 filters at $10 each. One look and I said, "Wrong size". Then I thought, those will work. The 12x30 ones convert to a single 12x24 and the 24x30 converts to two. If you do this just be sure what you need to cut off is with the pleats not against them. Cut them about 3/16 shorter than the outside measurement. Use the side or end cap to close the cut section. And cut the pleats about 1/2 inch wider so that it will fold into the cap. The picture should explain everything.
