First question, it should. Make sure your "system" can handle the CFM
Third question: PVC will greatly be more efficient because of the turbulence drag that the corrugated hose creates ...

Before I built my dedicated shop with a Clearvue Max cyclone I had a JDS 1 1/2HP dust collector with a pleated filter and not a filter bag. At one point I added a trash can with a separator lid. That is pretty much like what a Dust Deputy does. I eventually removed it because I thought it affected the efficiency (CFM) of the system.kablerj wrote:1.
