I just received a promotional from Hartville Tools and I remember last week we were talking about knobs and such for the support legs so I thought this might be of interest to everyone.
It seems someone has come up with Knobs that click onto normal bolts. And they even have ball knobs that can be used with all thread.
Check out these links.

I think they are priced fairly cheap at around $7-8 per package of 10. I imagine we can all use a few of these on some our jigs, and fixtures.
I hope this opens the door of someone's imagination and we hear of really neat things being built utilizing these.
Ed
FYI New product on market.

Thanks Ed, great find.
The site is now bookmarked and I picked up several project plans where the knobs will work well on the Jigs.

These look great.
I have an old Dunlap lathe that was sold by Sears years ago that a friend of mine gave me. These will help in holding the tool rest and tailstock in place. My friend put regular bolts and nuts in these places and you need a wrench to tighten/loosen them. I'll be making my purchases today. Thanks for the info.

The hartville ad on knobs are neat and I can think of several uses where the would be great. I wonder though if on the tubes are adjustable legs those big knobs might get in the way. Jim

Feel free to buy some smaller knobs from me. They already have the male stud and I have 42 of them burning a hole in my pocket.fjimp wrote:The hartville ad on knobs are neat and I can think of several uses where the would be great.
